Hi and thank you for joining us for
another Jordan Uncorked. I’m Maggie Cruz And I’m John Duckett. Today we
brought out some older Chardonnay. The 2014 Jordan Chardonnay from Russian
River Valley, when we first tasted this Wine it was really fresh and crisp and
about a year ago we tasted it and thought It was aging beautifully. So we thought
we’d see how it’s tasting today. Can’t wait! Wow, it’s still really vibrant. I kind of get like a floral almost to it. Yeah that acid is holding it up really
well. It’s really strong and bright, You get a nice minerality to it as well.
I mean granted it’s not a super old Chardonnay, but I find our Chardonnay is
aged very well just because of their Acidity and balance. Yes and the oak isn’t too prominent it’s still really nice. The mid weight it kind of Filling out a little bit more upon release. I don’t get any kind of the nuttiness that you Might think with an old Chardonnay or
aging Chardonnay, you get a little more nuttiness. This is still very fruit forward and
even looking at the color who would Guess that this is that old. What would
you think? Maybe drink now definitely It’s tasting great, maybe another year or
two? Yeah I would say now, I mean the Weather is nice it’s sunny, it’s beautiful so I mean it’s tasting good. It’s chardonnay weather. It’s still good with oysters I’m sure. When we first released the 2014 we Had an idea that it would age really
beautifully, so we tucked some away, way in The back of the warehouse and now we’ve
bringing it back out and we’re putting On our tours and tastings, it’s always
fun to showcase how our Chardonnay ages Up against like our new releases, which
is the current release 2017. It’s almost Like a surprise palette showed up, it was
really nice, yeah. Yeah, that doesn’t Happen too often. Thank you for joining us on another episode of Jordan Uncorked. It was great tasting the
Chardonnay, it’s tasting great and so Join us for the next episode of Jordan
Uncorked, I think we’re tasting a Cab 2013 750 And a magnum, so I hope you’ll join us.
